kikimiqbalsoft - AUDI Auto car at the Los Angeles motor show. The range-topping crossover SUV to challenge the likes of the BMW X6, Range Rover Sport and the upcoming Mercedes-Benz MLC will be based on the next-generation Q7, which is set to be unveiled in January at the Detroit motor show.
"Q8 will come," said Hackenberg. "It will be something new, following the established design concepts Prologue [revealed at the LA show]. It will be positioned as something more emotional and more sporty than Q7. Q7 will be a car for seven people, Q8 which would be more like a coupe. "
Q7 will be the last one of Audi's current design language, Hackenberg said that he and head designer Marc Lichte recently arrived in the company of Volkswagen's late to affect the display. To that end, the Q8 will have some visual differentiation for the Q7 both inside and outside.

"We see a lot of potential, especially in the segment of full-size SUVs and particularly prestigious category," Stadler said earlier this year.
Q8 has been developed to extend the range of Audi at the top of the line-up and to provide the company with sales added in potentially important markets such as China, the Middle East and the United States.
In terms of performance and technology, Q8 described as equivalent to the flagship sedan Audi A8, though with the added ability to head off road thanks to the raised ride height and, at the top-end models, the adjustable air suspension.

Ingolstadt is a big new SUV, which will have an overall length of more than five meters, has a projected price range between £ 50,000 for the entry-level 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 petrol model and £ 90,000 for the twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 RS flagship Q8.
A variety of V6 and V8 petrol and diesel engines will be offered, along with a plug-in hybrid and all-electric version possible to compete with the upcoming Tesla Model X SUV.
Q8 is set to receive its own, unique five-door body style under the leadership of the new Audi design boss Marc Lichte. Insiders say the structure of MLB has far greater flexibility than those used today, with additional scope for variability in wheelbase and track width in a move which, it is suggested, would lead to greater differentiation between models planned by the various brands of the VW Group.
The key development, however, is the adoption of aluminum, thin-gauge high-strength steel and carbonfibre-reinforced plastic, which together promise to bring a significant reduction in body weight of up to 300kg curb weight in Q7 and Q8 under 2000kg for the base. --
