kikimiqbalsoft - German companies can create plug-ins carbonfibre supercar in the future, although for now the priority is to grow hybrid i sub-brand

The boss of BMW M performance division products, Carsten Pries, have shown a softening attitude BMW to build a junior supercar as a rival to the Audi R8 and Mercedes-AMG GT.

As the car will also act as the spiritual successor to the original M car, M1, from 1978. The M division has long held desire to follow in the footsteps of Mercedes-AMG and creating a junior supercar, but until now the parent company of the BMW remains confident business case.

However, the arrival of BMW 'i' sub-brand and the performance potential of hybrid technology is found under the skin of the BMW i8 has improved the prospects idea revisited.

Responding to a question about whether BMW still feel its 'i' and brands 'M' should be kept entirely different despite the obvious suitability for the treatment of i8 M, Pries said: "We have to let my brand first settled. It is still very new to the market and customers need to be given time to understand his proposition. Then, perhaps, we can look at doing something. "

Speaking at the Los Angeles motor show, Pries confirms that the resulting cars will not only be hotter version of the BMW i8, but the M-car in itself is only used as construction technology carbonfibre and i8 plug-in powertrain revolutionary.  --
